HOME: a venue that runs on data instead of guesses

HOME is a music venue and creative community in Nashville. It is also our own project, which makes it the most honest case study we have: every idea we sell gets tested here first, with our own money on the line.

The work: a website built to capture tour requests, analytics and tracking set up properly, and month after month of changes decided by what the data showed, not by what looked nice.

The numbers

50%

bounce rate cut in half after data driven changes

$2,000

more per month in revenue

~8

tours requested per week through the site

25%

of tours become memberships

Full disclosure: HOME is our own venue. That is exactly why it exists as a case study. It is where this system gets proven before any client pays for it.

What actually changed

The first version of the site looked fine and performed badly: people landed and left. Instead of redesigning on taste, we set up tracking, watched how real visitors behaved, and changed what the data pointed at. The bounce rate fell by half.

Tour requests became the number that matters. The site now brings in around 8 tour requests a week, and one of every four tours turns into a membership. That flow is worth about $2,000 more per month in revenue.

None of it was magic, and none of it was overnight. It was testing, reading the numbers, and adjusting. That is the same loop we run for clients.
